PRS SE 277 Baritone-Tobacco Sunburst
Meet the PRS Baritone!
Built with a longer 27.7” scale length, the SE 277 Baritone is ideal for heavier, more aggressive guitar playing, but at the same time a very versatile guitar. The 277’s 85/15 “S” were designed to deliver outstanding clarity and extended high and low ends, allowing the 277 to handle blues and funk with flair as well. Additional features include a string-through bridge design for strong, resonant tone. So whether you’re interested in rocking a clean tone, picking bass lines beneath higher melodies on one guitar, or chugging out the heaviest drop-tuned riffs, the SE 277 offers versatility in a reliable package for players looking to push the envelope. Ships tuned B to B
The pickups on this model are probably the biggest upgrade, as PRS made some breakthrough discoveries in pickup design, and has filtered down all the way from the high end Core models, right through the entire PRS range. The SE 277 comes stock standard with PRS 85/15’s which adds a lot of sparkle and chime to the top end, and little less low Mid-Range, which tends to muddy up the sound, especially in a Baritone guitar.
Even though the SE 277 is a Baritone model, which is usually known for heavier duty, tuned down type of playing, do not be mistaken at this model is as versatile as can be. The overall voice is really quite something, producing really thick tones bringing out the bass register a bit more, but really produces amazing sounding crisp clean tones which sound great when playing more bluesy/rock orientated music.
